One way you might be able to get around that it to take the URL of the animated gif, go to a web page that you control and add a link to the gif like this:

[a href="http://giflocation.gif"]right-click to get the gif[/a]


And then you just right-click and save target as. Of course, with the proper <>s. ;-) For some reason, it works when it's a link for me, but not if it's the image you are trying to save. Make sense?
